Volunteers Needed!

By volunteering at El Barrio Angels, you will not only provide urgently needed assistance to people and families from all over the world, you will learn about languages and cultures and the immigrant experience. You will very likely make some new friends.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities: legal and paralegal work, welcoming and asking information for intake, interviewing for and preparing asylum cases, interpreting or translating (typically between English and French, Spanish, Pulaar, Wolof and Arabic, but other languages are very welcome), information processing, and many other tasks. Knowledge of another language besides English is very helpful, but not required, but please be ready to use a translation app. For more information and to volunteer, please create a volunteerhub account, and sign up for a shift. You must be at least eighteen years old to volunteer with El Barrio Angels.
